When the Association for European Transport (AET) and their delivery partner, Training for Transportation Professionals, approached us to help promote their European Transport Conference in 2011, we were delighted. But hang on, only 8 weeks until the event and they need to sell how many delegate places? No problem!

We got stuck in to create a targeted email campaign, advertising, signage, booking forms, brochures and badges. We’re happy to report that AET has commissioned Identity Studio to support this annual event ever since.

We work with the conference management team and changing venue each year to improve the delegates’ experience of this specialist event. The mini guides (à la Glastonbury Festival) were our favourite addition and the delegates loved ’em!

I have worked with Maxine and the Identity Studio team over the past 8 years mainly on the AET European Transport Conference on both web and traditional print projects. Maxine has been a real pleasure to work with, always providing excellent creative direction and responding quickly to any queries that always need to be dealt with like yesterday!

Sector-specific event marketing

As well as creating the conference branding, Identity Studio also produces promotional material to entice speakers, delegates and sponsors. As a specialist industry 3-day conference, it relies heavily on robust, sector-specific marketing.

Email marketing

During the build-up to the conference, Identity Studio provides a full e-marketing service by writing, designing and broadcasting weekly emails to a multi-country database of over 12,000 recipients. Each e-shot is tailored to communicate information on the various programme committees and streams found at the conference.

The conference moves country every 2-3 years so Identity liaises with each new venue, as well as the conference management team, to create suitable, clear signage and maps.

With a packed programme of over 200 seminars plus numerous off-site technical visits and social events during the 3 days, it’s essential that delegate logistics are totally foolproof. This is achieved with branded bus stop signs, a-frames, roller banners complemented by a conference mini guide containing maps, timetables and the social calendar.
