The Wolverhampton Music Service website crucially required an update when new Head, Ciaran O’Donnell, took control. Refocusing the service, by adapting the old website was the first task. Bring people to the website with an improved news and emailer followed quickly.
Information was needed on various hub classes and workshops so parents and students knew the website was the goto place for information. Social Media integration was also a key requirement for the kids and parents to discuss and promote the various elements.
Coming in cold as the new Head of the Music Service, I was incredibly impressed at how Identity Studio managed to take in all my changes and completely redesign and restructure the previous website so quickly.

Spreading the word
After the website came various print related projects, including a successful brochure, sent out to prospective schools promoting the key services.
Other elements included outdoor banners, to brand community music events. Even focused instrument based postcards, teachers could use to invite pupils to join orchestras and groups. These gave the personal touch with dedicated space allocated for the teacher to write their individual invites.
Following on from the website and emailer work the printed elements throughout the year have been of great significance. Particularly the clear and concise brochure we circulated throughout the region. This helped with a huge 32% increase in organisations take-up of our services in my the first year. A massive success story for us.
